Alert me when significant increase in visitors

Is there any way for clicky to email me when the site gets a significant increase in visitors (unique or page views) compared to a normal day?

Thanks Quotes, I cannot afford an iphone, however, email alerts would be the best way for most users surely?

Will Google Analytics alert me when there is a specified % increase in unique visitors?

We don't have alerts like that right now. I'm not sure if we'll be adding them or not as it would add a considerable amount of load on our end to be automatically checking stats for thousands of sites every few minutes.

could it not just check every 6 or 12 hours or daily?

That would be a possibility however with our "real time" focus I don't think many people would find that acceptable.
