getclicky vs. statcounter not matching up
Hello,I have recently installed getclicky on two sites which also have statcounter installed on them.
Statcounter has been running on each site for quite some time and seems very stable.
I recently installed getclicky (within the last few weeks) because I like the interface and want more data for comparison.
However, in comparing getclicky visitor totals to statcounter visitor totals, I am observing some discrepencies that are making me question whether there is an issue with my getclicky installation on one of the sites.
Site1 over the last 7 days shows the following:
statcounter: 349 unique visitors
getclicky: 316 unique visitors
approximately 90% of the statcounter total being counted by getclicky, but still some difference between the two packages.
Site2 over the last 6 days (just installed get clicky prior) shows the following:
statcounter: 367 unique visitors
getclicky: 294 unique visitors
approximately 80% of the statcounter total being calculated by getclicky.
Both sites are running on wordpress and have getclicky's code installed using Joost de Valk's "Clicky for WordPress" plugin.
I would like to better understand why these discrepencies might be occurring and whether I have an installation issue or something else. Obviously, the differing 'difference' between the two packages on the two sites is what is most confusing.
I appreciate your insight. Please advise.

What about just "visitors" ? We may calculate uniques differently than they do.
Also we more aggressively filter bots than any of our competitors. THere are some bots that imitate real user agents and execute javascript that most other services will track. Some slip by on us but we try to get most of them.
