Excluded IPs showing up in reports

I excluded a couple IP addresses a few days ago but I'm still seeing them in the reports. I understand that the filter doesn't apply retroactively, but the logs are showing up after I applied the filter. How do these filters work? When will they start excluding the traffic?

The filters should start working within 1 hour of adding them. Maybe you added them for a specific site instead of making the "global" so they still show up in some of your site's reports but not others?>
