anonymous ip-address
Hello,I am an German user and i need some help. In my country it is not allowed to track the full ip-address. I like this service and i will use it in the future. But i only can do this, if i only log an anonymous ip-address.
I hope you can help me and i hope, you understand my bad English ;-)

We are planning on adding an option to anonymize the IP but it's not yet available.

Okay, thank you for your reply. I hope, i can activate this service as soon as possible. One more question: How many time do you need for this option?

Well, the question is, do we just anonymize the IP when we display it, or before we log it? The second option is the best one in terms of law compliance I would assume, otherwise you could toggle the preference to see the real IP at any time. There may be consequences to doing this though so we have to think about it a bit.

Yes, the second way is the best way. Because, the problem is, in Germany it is not allowed to send the full IP to the USA. This is the reason, why i open this topic.
