Will my tracking code work on other domains?

I have tracking code for abc.com.

If I place the tracking code on another domain, such as abc.zendesk.com (our helpdesk), will it work? Not sure if the visit being on a different domain will cause an issue.

We rarely get traffic to the helpdesk, and I have tagged/filtered all of my devices & IPs.

I've added abc.zendesk.com to my list of domain mirrors, I'm assuming this is a necessary step to get this working.
