Display and organize visitors by custom data (email) instead of IP

The Visitor log and the like is difficult to use because I can't tell who the visitor is even though the data is there - it's just on the second page logged as the user id and email in custom detail.

Is it possible to show these attributes everywhere instead of or in addition to the IP? Even better, I'd like to track by this information.

This would make the system far more useful for me.

If you log the data as "username" it will show instead of IP. Not sure what you mean by "track by". If you really want a list of users with a certain custom data field set try downloading your data as a CSV file and searching through that.

Thanks, I didn't see that documented anywhere.

What I mean by "track by" is the ability to view all actions for a user, even from different IPs, but maybe this will do to trick.
