Tracking Code Stopped Tracking

Hello,

As of today, my Clicky tracking code stopped working on my website at... https://internettvdotcom.com/
I have been using Clicky for years when embedding the code in my theme's footer.php

Perhaps my theme automatically updated because I no longer see the Clicky tracking code there anymore.

I tried embedding the Clicky tracking code in the footer.php again. Ran the test to check the code and it told me the tracking code wasn't found.

I removed the code from the footer.php and then installed the Clicky tracking plugin. I entered my Site ID and Site Key in the Admin Dashboard. Ran another tracking code test and it still couldn't be found on my website.

I don't know why I'm having so much difficulty today after years of using Clicky.

Okay, it looks like the Clicky plugin is tracking somewhat with the Clicky plugin installed even though the verification failed each time.

My website is experiencing an issue with the Google Core Update where I lost a lot of traffic. I didn't know what to think when I only saw 20 visits and nothing more after that with a bounce rate of 50%. So far a few individuals visited my site so it seems the bulk of my issue is with the Core Update which I am doing a complete site audit.

I have another question.

I have two separate WordPress installs both connected...

Do I need to install the Clicky plugin on my How-To-Videos site also?

Hi, yes each unique install of WP needs the plugin. You can use the same site ID though, so they're reported together as one site on Clicky. Or, you can register the site a second time on Clicky and use that second site ID on the other install. Your choice!
