Setting Up Goal for a Specific Referral Domain

I'm trying to get an idea of the conversion rate of visitors from certain domains. What is the correct way to setup goal tracking for this? I tried setting the goal url as the purchase thank you page and under funnel selected "referring domain" and put in the one I wanted formatted like "example.com" but the goal is not tracking.
