Traffic Showing as Direct Visits

My site is virtually 100% search traffic yet the stats show that 60%+ is direct traffic. How do I explain this? Is it because of logged in users in Google, types of devices or what is that?

Direct just means that the browser did not have a capable referral. They could have come from a search engine but was not recognized. There are many reasons to "Direct" traffic.
