Setting up Events

How to set up goals/events in Clicky? Can anyone share a clear step by step information?

1. Banner Clicks (on the website homepage there is banner that leads to internal page. I am thinking I will have to create a UTM parameter every time, and add that whole URL as a new goal.. any simpler and cleaner way to do this?) multiple banners slider. each banner clicks we need to check.

2. Add to cart: (How many add to carts are happening for a specific product page)

Someone please let me know.

Hi, UTM codes are only processed for a visitor's first page view, so that won't work. Just use our clicky.log() function for logging events, docs are are the link below. You can use this same thing for tracking shopping cart adds too, or any other event you want to track. We use it on clicky.com for tracking interactions with the javascript menus, for example.
