Using Clicky with Kajabi
Hi everyone,
I was hoping to test out Clicky by using it to track usage of a membership that I'm hosting on the Kajabi platform.
It doesn't appear to be registering any visitors at the moment, and I know there have been some, so I assume I'm either doing something incorrectly or that it won't work for this kind of thing.
The site is running as a subdomain on Kajabi (i.e. mysite.kajabi.com).
Is there a way to make it work with something like this? I'd like to see the functionality before upgrading to the paid options.
Thanks.

I've never heard of Kajabi so I don't know. However I did look at your web site and I don't see our code in your HTML anywhere. Without the code we can't track it. Did you try pasting it in somewhere? Kajabi may now allow third party code... you'd have to ask their support dept if they allow such a thing, and if so, where you would paste it in your site so you can track it.

Thanks for the reply. Correct, the code isn't installed on my main site because that's not what I'm trying to track at the moment (I'll switch over if the Kajabi stuff can be made to work). Kajabi actually includes an area specifically for Clicky code, and I do see the little Get Clicky button on the pages, but I don't see visitor results here in the dashboard.

Are you using the same code there as you are for your other site? That won't work. Each site has its own unique code and we validate it against the domain you have registered in our database.

Aha. So what I actually need to do then, since the site in question is subdomain.kajabi.com, is use Kajabi.com as my site, even though it's not?
I would bet other Kajabi users are using your service, seeing as how it's one of three analytics services that they have a dedicated "Enter your Clicky Code Here" box for. Would that cause a problem?

You would regsiter it as "subdomain.kajabi.com". Or if you have the ability to park a domain on top of that, then use that domain instead.

Okay, great. Thanks! One last question -- can I delete the site associated with the account now and add it again later, or is removing the site a permanent thing (i.e. I'd need a new account if I wanted to track that site again)?

Yes you can delete it from your site prefs.
