How are unique visitors calculated?

Every service determines unique visitors differently. Clicky uses cookies when they are available, otherwise falls back on the anonymized IP address and a few other properties.

Clicky calculates uniques on a daily basis only. This means if you are getting a sum of unique visitors over a range of more than one day, it will not be accurate because some uniques may be counted more than one time.
