There may be some query parameters in your URLs that you want to remove, in order to normalize the reporting of your top content. There's also an option to completely ignore page views that have specific query parameters or parameter values (or both), because we knew if we didn't do that, someone would ask for it. But the main purpose for this "filter" is to normalize your page URLs.
